Walt Disney Co 's ESPN television unit is laying off about 10 percent of its 1,000 on-air staff, according to a source familiar with the situation.
In a memo to employees on Wednesday, ESPN President John Skipper announced changes to ensure the company is quicker to respond to the changing viewing patterns of sports fans.
“Our content strategy - primarily illustrated in recent months by melding distinct, personality-driven SportsCenter TV editions and digital-only efforts with our biggest sub-brand - still needs to go further, faster," Skipper wrote in the memo, reviewed by Reuters.
On top of the cuts to on-air talent, "a limited number of other positions will also be affected and a handful of new jobs will be posted to fill various needs," according to the memo.

Were there any federal district judges out there who weren’t appointed by Barack Obama? It appears all of these immigration cases wind up in front of left-wing kook judges. Now another Obama judge is blocking President Trump’s cutoff of funds to sanctuary cities. It’s remarkable that we have federal judges who are appointed by the most radical leftist president in American history, who take his political philosophy, reverse what is basically 100 years of jurisprudence, that they have fought for, and then impose their will. You can’t have a centralized administrative state by allowing Congress to do its job. San Francisco is free to be a sanctuary city, even though it defies federal law. However, now the federal government is not free to withhold federal funds from a city defying federal law. After that, the one area where Trump has succeeded, is in unravelling the executive orders of Obama. He is using same power Obama did to undo what Obama did. However, the President is having a tough time with the Republican Congress. There is no excuse for what Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan are doing or not doing. It is time to roll Chuck Schumer and the Democrats. The “Art of the Deal” should be the “Art of Victory”. Why aren’t the first 100 days a measuring stick for Congress and the Democrats? Can anyone name one piece of positive bipartisan legislation that Nancy Pelosi and Schumer have put forth? In addition, the Republicans have the Presidency, House and the Senate and it is their fault the government shuts down? This is not true, but it was the same during the Obama years. No matter what they always get blamed. The Republicans need to take their case to the American people. Many of these elected Republicans don’t want to make waves, because they want to hold onto power. Finally, how about we drive down the cost of the lumber industry and make it more competitive rather than passing tariffs on Canadian lumber? Whenever you hear a tariff is enacted, that is a sales or vat tax on the American consumer. Let’s not pretend that protectionism and tariffs don't put the American people out of work. What the Trump administration should do is open our federal lands to logging and have us compete with Canada that way.

#MONDAYBLOGS 4/24/17: #PBS - HOUR: What have we learned from President Trump’s first 100 days?

In our news wrap Monday, President Trump met with members of the U.N. Security Council at the White House, where he warned them that the situation in North Korea is "unacceptable" and stressed that they may need to take firm, new action. Also, former President Obama made his first public appearance since leaving office, urged compassion in dealing with illegal immigration.

President Truman forged a deal where coal companies and the union agreed to fund lifelong health care pensions. The government never intended to pay for these benefits, but Congress has become a funder of last resort. Now some 22,000 retired union miners and their widows will lose their health care if Congress doesn't act. Lisa Desjardins reports from West Virginia.Coal miners’ much-needed health care collides with budget showdown.

In the debate over health care reform, President Trump must now decide whether he will continue to make payments to insurance companies in order to cover out-of-pocket costs and deductibles for low-income consumers. Judy Woodruff speaks with Robert Laszewski, president of Healthcare Policy and Marketplace Review, about the ramifications of cutting off those subsidy payments.

What have we learned from President Trump’s first 100 days?

Amy Walter of The Cook Political Report and Tamara Keith of NPR join Judy Woodruff to discuss President Trump’s learning curve in his first 100 days, as well as former President Obama’s first public appearance.

Narcissists are Evil - Here's a Quick Tip on How to Deal with Them

Don't think that most people don't think that evil really exist but I'm here to tell you narcissists are evil. You can try to hide from it, you can try to change them, but at the end of the day you're going to realize that very evil and they won't ever change. The biggest question when dealing with a narcissist who is evil is why. Why are you treating me like this? And you end up staying with them trying to figure that out. You start to think that maybe the real them is the fun-loving person that you've met when you first met them however this new person is the real them. Narcissists are evil and you aren't going to change that. The best thing you can do is get away from them and go no contact. If you can't get away from them you need to understand that you're going to be mistreated and you need to learn to expect that from them because narcissists are evil.

The biggest problem is that people don't realize it and that's keeps you in a position to be victimized. Empower yourself today by accepting the truth. They aren't doing this because they are mad at you, they aren't doing this because they are trying to get back at you, we're doing this because narcissists are evil..

Your narc parents want you to think you were born defective. They've brainwashed you into believing that there's something inherently wrong with you. You are by nature a "bad seed," so "therefore I can abuse you." You already had two strikes against you when you came through the birth canal if you were born to narc parents. So you spend the rest of your life overcompensating for something you were never at fault for. That's the crime because that's what set you up to fail in all your relationships. Yeah, evil is just evil, we don't need to know why.
